If you go on our Substack today, you'll see that this is post #200.
After 200 posts, 129,500 Substack subscribers, 6,500 blog views last month, and 10.5M annual views across all properties, We've watched how GPs actually raise capital at scale.
And I need to say something that will sound insane to anyone trained in traditional sales.
Sales meetings don't help you close faster. They slow you down.
We stopped doing demos. And raised prices.
Our customers' close rates improved.
We track outcomes for every GP who engages with us. Two cohorts:
Cohort A: GPs who schedule exploratory calls, watch videos, ask questions, get our perspective. Then decide whether to move forward.
Cohort B: GPs who skip the calls. They run their GP Velocity diagnostic themselves. They look at their data. They decide if they need help based on what they see in the email they get, not what we tell them in a meeting.
Cohort B closes faster. By a meaningful margin.
Why?
When you schedule an exploratory call with a consultant, advisor, or software vendor, three things happen:
Result: Extended timeline. Unclear accountability. More meetings instead of more capital.
The GPs in our data who moved fastest did one thing differently: they forced themselves to get clarity before talking to anyone.
They ran GP Velocity.
We now have
Raw data. $X raised / Y GPs / Z months.
One number that shows exactly how fast they're actually moving.
Then they looked at their benchmark. Then they asked themselves: "Is this a velocity problem or an execution problem?"
Then they decided if they needed help.
No call. No pitch. No false confidence.
The diagnostic does the work. And when GPs make the decision to move forward, they know exactly what they're buying and why.
Most GPs don't want to run the diagnostic themselves because they're afraid of what they'll find.
It's easier to schedule a call and let someone else tell you the story. It's harder to look at $3M raised in 18 months with 4 GPs and say out loud: "We're moving at half the speed of our cohort."
But that's where the work starts.
The GPs who face that number directly are the ones who actually fix it.
We don't do exploratory calls. We don't do demos. We don't do "quick 15-minute chats."
Here's what we do:
Raw data. Your number. Your benchmark.

Do you want self-serve tools? Platform.
Do you want group coaching at your scale? Premium.
Do you want us embedded with your entire team for custom strategy? Advisory.
Or do you decide we're not the answer? That's valid too.
Every hour you spend in an exploratory call is an hour you're not on the phone with LPs.
Every meeting that creates false confidence delays the real work of diagnosis and strategy.
Every "let me think about it and get back to you" is momentum you'll never get back.
The GPs closing the biggest rounds right now aren't optimizing for conversations. They're optimizing for capital velocity. They know their number. They know their gap. They're moving to close it.
That's the only meeting that matters.
This approach separates two kinds of GPs:
Type 1: The ones who want diagnosis. They run the data, they see the truth, they move.
Type 2: The ones who want validation. They want someone to tell them it'll be okay. They want hand-holding through the process.
We work best with Type 1. Type 1 GPs close faster, raise more, and don't need ongoing therapy about whether their fundraise will work.
If you're Type 2, find a coach or a therapist. Both are valuable. Neither is us.
After 200 posts and 132,000 subscribers, the pattern is clear: the GPs who move fastest don't optimize for consensus. They optimize for clarity.
They run the numbers. They make the decision. They move.
That's what we're building toward: a world where fund managers have the data and the tools to make real decisions, not theater.
We've built this through content (6,500+ monthly blog views, 10.5M annual views across all properties). We've learned what actually works by publishing every insight we find, every pattern we see, every lesson we learn.
The data backs us up. The market validates us.
So no. We don't do sales meetings.
Because our data shows you close faster without them.

That's the process. That's the philosophy. That's post #200.
